Deer Valley Crossroads is an alternative campus for those students who wish to participate in an educational environment that is different from a traditional school setting. Crossroads creates a comprehensive support system that cultivates high achievement, positive attitudes, and regular attendance for students. The goal of Crossroads is to develop a "caring community of support", a place where students, teachers, and parents respect one another and are deeply invested in one another's success as well as the success of the school.
Crossroads has been designed:
- To promote growth
- To foster student success in school
- To encourage students to return and remain in school
- To provide an environment where students feel good about themselves and others
Crossroads focuses on providing a quality education in the core academic content areas, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Instruction is teacher directed versus self-paced and is aligned with district curriculum and state standards. Students have the opportunity to receive up to three credits per semester. Our school hours are from 9:20 am to 3:50 pm Monday through Thursday and from 9:20 am to 1:35 pm on Friday. We are a closed campus and students must be in attendance during those hours. Students wishing to find out more about our program should call 602-467-5104.
